I&#8217;m blaming my shoes, at the moment, rather than my electric personality.<\/li>\n<li>Yes, it&#8217;s colder than San Diego, but most of the days the high temps have been 45-55 degrees, which is basically wear a jacket weather, unless you&#8217;re in the sun. I know it gets colder, but so far, not too bad.<\/li>\n<li>Moving in to the space already occupied by another person could really be difficult if the other person hasn&#8217;t made a reasonable amount of space. Lucky for me, that&#8217;s not been a factor. Stan made more room that I was expecting.<\/li>\n<li>Boulder generally has slower speed limits than my part of San Diego, but the real difference I notice is how much slower locals drive in parking lots.<\/li>\n<li>Boulder has many smaller specialty stores than my part of San Diego, but that&#8217;s not surprising since I lived in a lower income neighborhood compared to here. Even so, the natural section of the Safeway is about the size of half of my old Ralph&#8217;s.<\/li>\n<li>Dressing up is a relative term on the front range &#8211; this is still cow country. Make sure you&#8217;ve got a good pair of jeans &#8211; that should cover most situations.<\/li>\n<li>Service people of all types are very nice and will usually try to strike up an actual conversation rather than perfunctory &#8216;Have a Nice Day.&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>As much as I miss San Diego and my hometown, this adventure seems to be going along great.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So as I start my second full week in Colorado, I have a few observations- I&#8217;m really tired of getting shocked by everything I touch.
